I’m Aaron (Abe) Ahn, founder of BuildKind Tech and SimpleFrame. Before building the product, I spent seven years as a distributor representative in the framing industry. That work put me inside the day-to-day reality of frame shops: the counter conversation, the vendor catalog, the quote, the work order, and the pressure to keep years of records intact.
Why SimpleFrame exists
SimpleFrame exists to give custom frame shops a browser-based POS built around framing work—and a hands-on path into it. The product covers united-inch pricing, vendor catalogs, visual frame design, customers, work orders, invoices, purchase orders, receiving, and payments. It runs in the browser without a back-room server or local installation.
Support is personal
I personally handle every SimpleFrame setup and migration. We move the customer records, complete order history, invoices, pricing and markups, then review the result with the shop before go-live. Training happens around the way the staff already works. When a question comes up, the support path leads to a person who knows the product and the migration.
Continuity is written down
Shop data is encrypted, backed up automatically, and exportable. The agreement also includes a continuity guarantee: if BuildKind can no longer continue the service, the shop receives its data and a runnable copy of the software. The purpose is simple—no frame shop should be stranded because one vendor disappears.
